#MissTourismLagos2016: Miss Prisca Emelike Emerges As Miss Tourism Lagos 2016 [Photos & Event Report] @MissTourismLag

The maiden edition of Miss Tourism Lagos beauty pageant which saw Miss Prisca Emelike emerge as the new Lagos State tourism ambassador has gone with all its glitz and glamour.  The pageant, which was being aimed to celebrate the beauty in culture, was held on Sunday 17^th April, 2016 at Sheraton Hotels and Towers Ikeja, Lagos.

The event started at 2pm with the red carpet and the main event followed immediately. Among the guest who attended the event were Hon. Mrs Adebimpe Akinsola 9the Special Adviser to Lagos state governor on Arts and Culture), Otunba Fiwagboye Richard Oshungboye (Special Adviser to Lagos state governor on planning and budget), the judges, media partners, friends and families of each contestant, friends of the organizers and others.

Some of the peak moments of the event were: the segment where contestants were asked to show their creativity as each contestant got different degrees of applause from the audience according to the level of creativity they showed, another is the tradition attire segment as the contestants were made to showcase elements of their indigenous culture while putting on their cultural attires, the questions and answers segment, musical performances, comedy, dance, presentation of awards to partners and sponsors etc. Check live video update of what went down at the event on Absolute Hearts Instagram page @absolutehearts

The event, which was organized by MLK events and promotions headed by Mr Olanigan Martins Adeyemo, got high recommendations from the Lagos state government has the two Special Advisers to the governor of Lagos State, Gov Akinwunmi Ambode, gave their heartfelt appreciation to the organizers for celebrating tourism and culture in Lagos State and Nigeria at large.

The climax of the event saw Miss Prisca Emelike emerge as Miss Tourism Lagos 2016, Miss Sammy Bukola emerge as Miss Culture Lagos 2016 and Miss Olofinkua Aderonke emerge as Miss Arts Lagos 2016.
